Kizomba Harmony, a dance company directed by Monica Kay and Billy Myles and based in Houston, TX, is proud and beyond excited to announce the release of our Kizomba To Go™ app, the FIRST Kizomba downloadable mobile app for iOS in the world! This app is for EVERYONE and will explain technique to get you dancing with strong fundamentals.
We believe that the most efficient way to level up in Kizomba is to take advantage of of three opportunities: group lessons, private instruction, and practice. And although we dont believe there is a substitute for face-to-face quality instruction, we understand that time, resources, and location dont always allow us to take advantage of every opportunity. The Kizomba To Go™ app is designed to supplement all three learning opportunities by being a handy, accessible, portable, and AFFORDABLE instructional reference and practice tool.
In our app, you will be able to access video instruction that breaks down into the finest detail the finer points of fundamental Kizomba technique that will allow you to either start your Kizomba journey on the right foot, or keep you on track if youve already begun. We chose to offer instruction in the app format because we wanted to offer the most accessible, affordable option possible to students of Kizomba. So, you can stream the lessons wherever there is an internet connection, or you can download them to your phone and watch them WHENEVER and WHEREVER you would like, even WITHOUT AN INTERNET CONNECTION!
We specialize in teaching rock-solid technique in a clear, easy to understand manner. Our students, both in our weekly classes and in workshops we teach across the country and beyond, appreciate our ability to break down concepts and explain in detail the finer points of technique. But its not like you can keep your instructors in your pocket to carry around with you right? Well, now you can!
Kizomba isnt about how many moves you can do, its about how you MOVE. The Kizomba To Go™ app is designed not simply to teach you dance steps, but to teach you how to DANCE.
Kizomba To Go™ Level 1 offers 10 videos covering fundamental techniques of leading and following.
Kizomba To Go™ Level 2 offers 12 videos covering more advanced closed position techniques.
Kizomba To Go™ Level 3 offers 13 videos covering open position techniques, including saidas!
The Follow Series offers 6 videos covering techniques to take your follow skills to the next level!
Each level offers enough material for at least 6 months of practice time.

No sound
With kizomba becoming more of a dance craze throughout the USA, this app provides exceptional foundational knowledge for the dance. The app seems well organized, the instructors do an excellent job demonstrating, and the instruction is concise and easy to follow. I have shared the link with many of my friends who are seeking to become more familiar and step up their game on the dance floor!
This is a brilliant app! Its a fantastic tool for Kizomba dancers. It has a great step-by-step curriculum for Kizombeiros in training. It can be used as a reminder or as a side tool to complement the learning experience. Plus, you can track your progress, read some interesting articles and easily connect with Kizomba Harmony. This will really enhance the work of our instructors. Kudos guys!
I first heard about the app while at a conference in California in March of 2015. I didnt try it then. My how much do I regret that! It has Everything you need to learn the basics of Kizomba for both leads and follows. As a leader I love practicing the follower instructions to enhance my lead. Only getting 4 stars because its now late October 2015 and you guys/girls havent added any advanced levels yet. What are you waiting for?
